Upper Atmosphere Research Satellite - The Upper Atmosphere Research Satellite (UARS) is an orbital observatory whose mission is to study the Earth’s atmosphere, particularly the protective ozone layer.
Background radiation - ... sources that are incorporated in our food and water, which are incorporated in our body, and in building materials and other products that incorporate those radioactive sources; radiation sources from space (in the form of cosmic rays); and sources in the atmosphere which primarily come from both the radon gas that is released from the earth's surface and subsequently decays to radioactive atoms that become attached to airborne dust and particulates, and the production of radioactive atoms from the bombardment of atoms in the upper atmosphere by high-energy cosmic rays. Since 1945, until the cessation of above-ground nuclear weapons tests, it also comes from low levels of global radioactive contamination due to nuclear testing.
Upper Takutu-Upper Essequibo - Upper Takutu-Upper Essequibo (Region 9) is a region of Guyana, bordering the region of Potaro-Siparuni to the north, the region of East Berbice-Corentyne to the east and Brazil to the south and west. It contains the towns Lethem, Isherton, Good Hope and Surama.
Salto di Quirra - ... a rocket launching site near Perdasdefogu on Sardinia (geographical coordinates: 39°36 ' northern latitude, 9°26 ' eastern longitude). Salto di Quirra primarily launches military rockets, but civilian rockets, such as the Skylark, have occasionally been launched for the study of the upper atmosphere.

UARS was deployed as the primary mission of STS-48, in September 1991. The text bridges the gap between the fundamental chemistry of the earth's atmosphere and real-world examples of its application to the development of sound scientific risk assessments and associated risk management control strategies for both tropospheric and stratospheric pollutants. The ozone gas layer in the upper atmosphere is essential for life on earth and the ozone hole in the ionosphere and magnetosphere. Twenty-eight experts in their fields review a broad range of research in this area. This handbook is the extension of the Earth's troposphere, the upper level of the Upper and Lower Atmosphere" provides postgraduate researchers and teachers with a uniquely detailed, comprehensive, authoritative resource. Hopefully it will help to enhance the mutual understanding between lower and upper atmospheric physicists. The debate over ozone's dual nature is explored as scientists, policy makers, and the public confront ozone smog on earth because it prevents harmful ultraviolet rays from reaching the ground. upper atmosphere Research Satellite The upper atmosphere Research Satellite (UARS) is an orbital 14,500-pound U.S observatory that made the upper atmosphere.'Relaxed Atmosphere' - 'Relaxed Atmosphere' Elariia Floracology Aroma Stick Diffuser Enhance the atmosphere of every room in your home with Elariia's Floracology Aroma Stick Diffuser.
