Hydrology in Management Remote Sensing Water

Remote Sensing by John R. Jensen,

Remote Sensing by John R. Jensen,
This book introduces the principles of remote sensing from an Earth resource perspective. It describes a) the fundamental characteristics of electromagnetic radiation hydrology in management remote sensing water and how the energy interacts with Earth materials such as vegetation, water, soil hydrology in management remote sensing water and rock, b) how the energy reflected or emitted from these materials is recorded using a variety of remote sensing instruments (e.g., cameras, multispectral scanners, hyperspectral instruments, RADAR), hydrology in management remote sensing water and c) how we can extract fundamental biophysical or land use/land cover information from the remote sensor data. The history of remote sensing, the principles of visual photo-interpretation, hydrology in management remote sensing water and photogrammetry are also presented. Application chapters focus on remote sensing of vegetation, water, urban land use, hydrology in management remote sensing water and soil/rock hydrology in management remote sensing water and geomorphic features. The book was written for physical, natural, hydrology in management remote sensing water and social scientists interested in how remote sensing of the environment can be used to solve real-world problems. The following features make this book easy to comprehend hydrology in management remote sensing water and apply: a) it contains hundreds of illustrations specially designed to make complex principles easy to understand, b) a substantial reference list at the end of each chapter, c) the 8.5 x 11" format allows the remote sensing images hydrology in management remote sensing water and diagrams to be easily interpreted, d) 32 pages of color are used to display remote sensing images or biophysical information that may be extracted from remote sensor data, hydrology in management remote sensing water and e) an Appendix provides Internet addresses for the most important sources of remote sensing information. Exercises hydrology in management remote sensing water and book illustrations are made available to instructors via the author's website. This book is a companion to "Introductory Digital Image Processing: A RemoteSensing Perspective" (Prentice-Hall, Inc., 1996) which introduces the fundamentals of digital image analysis. It is ideal for undergraduate or graduate courses in airphoto interpretation hydrology in management remote sensing water and remote sensing.

Spatial Modelling of the Terrestrial Environment by Richard Kelly,

Spatial Modelling of the Terrestrial Environment by Richard Kelly,
Understanding hydrology in management remote sensing water and predicting the behaviour of natural hydrology in management remote sensing water and human environmental systems is crucial for the effective management of the Earth s limited resources. Recently, great advances have been made through spatial modelling. This book provides a snapshot of the latest research in modelling technologies hydrology in management remote sensing water and methodologies within five environmental fields; the cryosphere, hydrology, geomorphology, vegetation interfaces hydrology in management remote sensing water and urban environments. "Spatial Modelling of the Terrestrial Environment deals with the use of remote sensing, numerical models hydrology in management remote sensing water and GIS in addressing important natural hydrology in management remote sensing water and human environmental sciences issues, focusing on the theory hydrology in management remote sensing water and application of modelling remotely sensed data within the context of environmental processes. Extensive case material exemplifies the latest research hydrology in management remote sensing water and modelling paradigms presented in the book.

National Remote Sensing Agency - National Remote Sensing Agency is an autonomous institution supported by Department of Space of India. It is responsible for acquisition, processing and supply of data from remote sensing satellites.

Indian Remote Sensing satellite - Indian Remote Sensing satellites (IRS) are a series of Earth Observation satellites, mostly built, launched and maintained by Indian Space Research Organisation of India as part of the Indian space program. The IRS series provides remote sensing services and are composed of the 1 (A,B,C,D).

Remote sensing - In the broadest sense, remote sensing is the measurement or acquisition of information of an object or phenomenon, by a recording device that is not in physical or intimate contact with the object. In practice, remote sensing is the utilization at a distance (as from aircraft, spacecraft, satellite, or ship) of any device for gathering information about the environment.

Surface-water hydrology - Surface water hydrology describes the relation between rainfall and runoff, which is an important aspect of water resources for drinking water, agriculture (irrigation) and the safeguarding of the environment, and for protecting people against possible floods.
